A good file is half of a great print. Here's how to prepare your logo or artwork for a T-shirt, a sweatshirt or DTF sheets, even if you're not a graphic designer.
Blurry, pixelated or too small a logo? We'll rework it for €5: redrawn cleanly, sharp at any size ("Logo redrawn cleanly" option in the personalisation tool). This applies to logos, text and simple drawings, not photos, which can't be vectorised.
The right formats
- PNG with a transparent background: the ideal format for a full-colour print. Anything transparent won't be printed.
- PDF, AI or SVG (vector): perfect for a logo, as it can be enlarged without any loss of quality.
- JPG: acceptable for a photo, but it always has a background (often white), which will be printed.
The right resolution
Aim for 300 dpi at print size. In practice, for artwork 28 cm wide, you need about 3,300 pixels in width. For a full 35 × 40 cm DTF sheet: 4134 × 4724 pixels. An 800-pixel image found online will look blurry at large sizes.
The most common mistakes
- A white background around the logo: it prints as white on a coloured T-shirt. Remove it (transparent background).
- A screenshot or an image sent through a messaging app: often too small and compressed.
- Lines that are too thin (under 1 mm): they may not hold up well in the wash.
- Text that's too small: keep a letter height of at least 1 to 2 cm.
- A colour close to the fabric: a navy logo on a black T-shirt won't show.
Fonts and colours
Convert text to outlines (or send the font) so it doesn't change. Colours on screen always look a little brighter than on fabric: for a precise brand colour, include the reference in your quote request.
Don't have a perfect file?
Send us what you have: we check every file for free before printing and let you know if there's a risk. In our tool, you can also type text directly, no file needed. And only use images you have the right to print.
